Welcome to Blue Water Sushi, a haven of fusion sushi in Smithers, BC. Our journey began in December 2004 when Cindy Palmer, a visionary full of passion and dedication, founded Blue Fin Sushi Bar. In October 2015, we became Blue Water Sushi, carrying on Cindy’s legacy of providing high-quality sushi in a town that had none.

Our seafood is exclusively sashimi-grade, sourced directly from Vancouver, and we use the freshest vegetables and other ingredients. We take pride in our stringent measures to ensure the freshness of our seafood, which involves flash freezing and processing in-house by our trusted suppliers.

While we are proud of what we’ve achieved so far, we have plans to renovate and update the front of the business, and make some interior changes to provide more space for our back-of-house staff. Our server was very good about checking for food sensitivities and allergies, and the kitchen took good care
Plates came to the table with verbal confirmation of allergies so that there could be no confusion. With multiple people in our party who have to be careful, the care and respect shown was appreciated

If you’re not a fan of fish no worries they have lots of delicious options
I’ve never really liked sushi until I ate here. Popcorn shrimp is one of my favourite options. Veggie croquettes and chicken teriyaki bites are all amazing.

We eat here often. Either take out or dine in.
Either way the food never disappoints. Popcorn shrimp is amazing but I haven’t tried anything on the menu that I don’t like.
